First days in the Big Apple
We arrived safely to NYC on Sunday and got settled in our housing site at Sunset Community Church in South Brooklyn. Our first was spent becoming orientated with the Subway followed by dinner at a Middle Eastern Restaurant. Monday we participated in a prayer tour around the entire city which included Manhattan, Times Square, Harlem, The Bronx, 5th Avenue, Ground Zero, and a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. We ended our day on the lower east side of Manhattan with Indian Cuisine. Today we began various service projects around the city including food distribution with the homeless, working with a city arts program, and a clothing bank in the NYC Army Terminal.
